About Us
Welcome to St Mary's Surgery. Our Windermere doctors surgery is situated in the old vicarage next to St Mary's Church and we also have a purpose built branch surgery in Staveley village.

St Mary's Surgery
The Practice will endeavour to always offer services to our patients that comply with NHS Standards.
The care of your health is a partnership between yourself and the Primary Health Care Team. The success of that partnership depends on an understanding of each other’s needs and co-operation between us.
Registration
Patients who are, or become, resident within our Practice boundary are welcome to apply to join our practice. The area covered by our Practice is shown on our registration page
As a patient you have the right to express a preference to receive services from a particular health professional, and the Practice will endeavour to comply with that preference, although there may be valid grounds to refuse, in which case the reason will be explained to you.

Accessibility Needs
We want to get better at communicating with our patients and ensure you can read and understand the information we send you.
If you find it hard to read our letters or if you need someone to support you at appointments, please complete our Accessibility Needs Form below.
Meet our Team
We have six GPs and a full range of nursing and attached staff services available to our 6550 patients. We also offer dispensing services to our rural patients.
The Reception Team look after patients, their appointments, prescriptions and all the stuff that flies around - a massive amount of administration involved in running a busy practice.

Practice Information
Parking
There is ample parking at both sites for our patients whilst visiting the practices.
Disabled Access
Both surgeries have access for disabled patients to all parts of the practice including toilets
Training Practice
St Mary's is fortunate to be a training practice, which means there may be a doctor working in the practice alongside the established partners and are normally with us for one year. This doctor will have already had extensive hospital training and is known as a General Practice Registrar.
GP Patient Survey
The GP Patient Survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England. The survey is sent out to over two million people across England. The results show how people feel about their GP practice.

Our overall CQC Rating was: GOOD
