Primary qualifications: MBChB, DRCOG, MRCGP (passed), DipOccMed (Leicester 1998)
Although Dr Daniel Hughes grew up ‘down south’ his family are originally from the Lakes (his great, great grandmother was from Ings). He has been living in Kendal since 2007 and has been a partner here at St Mary’s Surgery since 2019.
He trained in Leicester and Newcastle and has worked as a GP in the South Lakes since 2007.
He is a trainer for the GP Specialist Training doctors who rota through the practice, and he teaches at GP school one day a week.
Outside of work he loves to run in the fells and mess about in kayaks.
