Growing up in North Yorkshire, she crossed the Pennines to undertake her medical training in Manchester, choosing to stay there and work in general practice and palliative care.
She relocated to the Lake District as the pull back to the countryside was strong. Outside of work she enjoys being out in the fells with her young family.
