Chaperone Policy

A chaperone will be offered to all patients (male and female) undergoing an intimate examination irrespective of the gender of the doctor or nurse. The doctor or nurse is at liberty to ask a chaperone to be present if they feel the situation warrants it.

The presence of a chaperone can be to safeguard both the clinician and patient.
