GP REGISTRAR & MEDICAL STUDENTS

We are fortunate to be a training Practice. This means that there may be a doctor working in the Practice alongside the established partners, who is normally attached to the Practice for a period of six months or one year. Such a doctor will usually already have extensive hospital training and is known as a General Practice Registrar.

From time to time we have 4th and 5th year medical students who are attached to the Practice as part of their training. You may be asked if they can sit in during the consultation with your usual doctor, or you may be offered an appointment with a medical student who is under the supervision of one of the Partners. These students are undertaking GP medical studies at Lancaster University.
